Summarecon Serpong, Located about 21 km west of Jakarta, Summarecon develops a township under the name of Summarecon Serpong with a development license of 750 hectares. The township was previously known as Gading Serpong, when in 1993 Summarecon jointly developed the area with a national business group. In 2004 however, the business venture decided to individually pursue the development of Gading Serpong after having successfully developed around 400 hectares of area.
Since 2004, Summarecon Serpong has developed more than 50 clusters of both residential and commercial neighborhoods on around 250 hectares of land. Summarecon have now successfully built about 11,000 units of houses, 1,100 units of apartments, 2,000 units of shoplots, a shopping mall with 100,000 m2 of retail space, Sinpasa modern market, Salsa open dining place, automobile center, Plaza Summarecon Serpong office tower, a golf course and a recreational club. Summarecon have also provided for the development of facilities for amenities like education (from pre-primary to university) and a woman and child hospital, St. Carolus Summarecon Serpong.
Projects being developed in Summarecon Serpong include the 150 -hectare Scientia Garden, 100-hectare The Springs, and a 6-hectare Serpong Midtown; each with is own differentiating features and concepts to appeal to home owners.
The Scientia Garden is designed to be a modern Eco-friendly residential and business district with multi-media and management institutes of learning (Universitas Multimedia Nusantara and Surya Institute), together with an office park and a digital center for technology goods and services. Facilities to cater to the business, education, student and residential community of Scientia Garden include a food, beverage and entertainment village together with ample landscaped green space. To date we have developed 2,100 units of houses and shoplots, and 1,125 units of apartments. More residential properties shall be progressively developed over the next couple of years.
The Springs residential district optimise’s the natural landscape of the undulating terrain and lakes. To date 1,000 houses have been developed. Thirteen clusters of houses are being developed in this very green location. Each cluster with about 200 to 300 units of houses is a gated-community with facilities, and estate management services. Another five blocks of shoplots are also being developed in this location to create a local economy for the residents. We have also built The Springs Club, a sports and banqueting center that caters to the recreational needs of residents.
Ongoing projects in Serpong include the 12-towers Serpong Midtown with 5,000 units of apartments in 10 towers, and two towers of office and/or commercial space.
